It was just after the end of the 2014 World Cup that Brazil finally qualified for the 2018 World Cup, but it took a while to get there.
Neymar’s return in the World Cup in Russia in 2019 proved to be a boost, but Brazil had yet to score a goal, and had conceded 17 goals in the process.
The current squad has already reached the quarter-finals of every World Cup tournament it’s qualified for, including last year’s World Cup final, but even the World Cups in Russia and England did not see Brazil qualify for the finals.
The Brazilians have a number of options available in the off-season, with the likes of Hulk, Leonardo and Leonardo de Freitas all vying for a place in the starting line-up.
There is no shortage of options for Brazil, with both Neymar and Neymarinho having been linked with a move away from the country this summer, but which of the players will be the first to make the move?
It’s been suggested that the Brazilian giants have been interested in the services of Hulk for some time, and the 25-year-old’s agent has revealed that he’s still considering his options for the coming summer.
“We have a contract with Neymar, and we are considering several options.
It is still possible for us to negotiate,” agent Julio Borges told EfeNews.
“At the moment, we have not made a decision on Neymar.
He is still in a contract but the option of leaving Brazil is not on the table yet.”
In terms of his position, it is still a question of where he wants to play.
At this moment, Neymar is still under contract and he is a player who has not yet signed the contract.
“Neymar is currently contracted to the club until 2019, and has said that he wants out of Brazil, but has admitted that he still considers his options open at the moment.”
Of course I would like to go to another country.
But that is a possibility.
I would love to leave Brazil, to be honest,” Neymar told ESPN Brasil.”
I would like Brazil to know I love it here.
I am here for the next four years, and if they do not offer me a contract, I will definitely leave Brazil.
