A rubber playground has been found on the side of a building, in a tree stump, and in the middle of the road in a parking lot.
The new playground was found on a building that is part of the City of New York’s $30 million renovation to the Hudson River Bridge, according to a statement from the New York City Department of Transportation.
The playground has no connection to any of the existing playgrounds, according the statement.
The playground was constructed by a company called Playground Rubber and was built in 2014, according a release from the city.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has received the playground and is examining it.
The city is asking anyone with information about the playground to contact its media relations team at 311.
